Analysing the UK Fish consumer market ahead of a new market entry launch
Analysing viewers’ conversations to inform future marketing initiatives for the UK’s longest running commercial network.
Understanding needs
Ahead of a new market entry launch, the client needed to understand the adjectives and descriptions used to naturally describe the client’s fish species vs. a comparative set of fish.
We were able to use computer vision algorithms to analyse the ‘in the moment’ images shared by consumers.
Connecting data
We sourced 10,000+ public conversations on UK fish from social media, forums and blogs for a US client that wanted to understand how UK consumers ‘really’ talked about fish.
We created a detailed tagging system to label if a conversation mentioned a fish species related to the client’s market entry strategy.
Driving change
A focused report was created which analysed the data through quantitative and qualitative analysis and made clear strategic recommendations on the language, tone of voice and topic areas to focus on the client’s market entry strategy.
